The role holds day to day ownership of the operations finance agenda and provides constructive challenge to site leadership on cost, yield, waste and productivity.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage operational P&L: Direct the month-end closing process for manufacturing and logistics, delivering deep-dive written analysis on yield performance, waste, scrap, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption.
- Oversee inventory governance: Lead the financial valuation, balance sheet reconciliation, and obsolescence provisioning for all stock categories, while enforcing rigorous cycle count policies and excise duty controls.
- Financialise operational metrics: Convert weekly and monthly plant KPIs—such as right-first-time rates, equipment downtime, and customer complaints—into clear, actionable financial outcomes.
- Partner site leadership: Serve as the dedicated financial co-pilot for the Warrington management team, providing robust commercial challenge during operational performance reviews.
- Lead financial planning: Coordinate the annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles for plant conversion costs, headcount, site overheads, and capital allocations in line with corporate timelines.
- Evaluate capital investments: Construct robust business cases and investment appraisals for plant machinery and infrastructure, while conducting post-implementation reviews under Group guidance.
- Support procurement finance: Validate supplier savings initiatives and calculate total cost of ownership metrics to feed strategic data into central procurement analytics.
- Enable commercial decisions: Deliver precise cost-modelling inputs to support new product development pipeline gating, strategic pricing models, and commercial client tenders.
