FP&A Manager

Resourcery Group are working with a market leading and award winning FMCG business based near Warrington as they look to hire a new FP&A Manager. This is a key commercial role for the business and the FP&A Manager will work closely with the Finance Director and senior stakeholders to drive business performance. 

Role Profile

The main purpose of this role is to manage the annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes, collating data from Business Partners within Finance and across the business, to ensure that this supports the business goals and long-term strategy. Working as part of a team, this role will also prepare internal and external reporting, to present expected and actual outcomes of the Group.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  • Managing the annual multi-year budget process, re-forecasts and rolling latest views, bringing in inputs from across the Management Accounts Team and wider stakeholders.
  • Ensuring budgeting and re-forecasting timetables are updated, communicated, and managed, including ensuring senior stakeholder sessions are managed and delivered.
  • Collaboration with wider Finance colleagues to align on external and internal reporting requirements, to ensure consistency of reporting and to generate appropriate internal sign off policies.
  • Providing data and supporting analysis to show variations in performance, year on year movements, sensitivities to assumptions etc.
  • Preparation and presentation of budget packs.
  • Management of “desktop” modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Utilising business and market knowledge to prepare and present regular re-forecasts, and to challenge longer term inputs and assumptions.
  • Creating a standardised input for Finance Business Partners to provide timely updates.
  • Driving budgeting and forecasting efficiencies through use of systems/tools.
  • Ownership, management, and continual development of reporting solutions and data reporting tools.
  • Collaborating with other team members to maintain a high performing finance function.

Key Requirements


  • Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy body
  • Prior experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role
  • Advanced analytical experience using Excel, ERP systems and other suites
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business partnering background advantageous

Our client has a modern and impressive office based near Warrington but has also embraced hybrid working and the FP&A Manager will be able to split their time between the office and home.
