Commercial Finance Analyst

Resourcery Group are partnering with one of Manchester's recent success stories as they look to hire a Commercial Finance Analyst. This role will see the Commercial Finance Analyst working with with the Head of FP&A and senior stakeholders to use finance as a business tool and drive business performance. It is an fantastic opportunity for a commercial accountant to join a thriving business in what is a genuine value addding role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting monthly financial analysis, providing insights into key performance indicators and financial trends to support strategic decision making
• Partner with key stakeholders to define and influence data led decisions that provide needle moving outcomes.
• Working with the business to discuss results and conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Own, maintain and develop interactive business dashboards to provide real-time data and analytics.
• Provide fact-based data and analysis relating to sales performance and customer behaviour, steering future decisions.
• Work closely with the commercial managers and other team members in providing data-backed recommendations to support effective decision making and add business value.
• Conduct market research to gather insights on industry trends, customer preferences, and competition.
• Coordinate with the wider finance team to streamline and channel efforts to improve financial performance of the organisation.
• Collaborating with divisional and department heads to develop and manage budgets and forecasts
• Provide key data to bi-weekly business insights with sales and BU leadership to aid future decisions.
• Compile financial and operational data; assess and analyse progress towards organisational strategic goals.

Key Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Commercial Finance Analyst, Finance Business Partner, Business Data Analyst or similar role
• Experience of developing reporting solutions using recognised visualisation tools (e.g. Metabase (preferred), Qlik, Power BI)
• Knowledge of using data to understand B2B customer behaviour and track it over time to enhance business performance would be beneficial
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess strong business acumen, keeping up to date on market conditions, understanding of pricing models and pricing structures

Our client is based in central Manchester but has also embraced hybrid working and the Commercial Finance Analyst will be expected to be on site for 2 days per week.
