Resourcery Group are recruiting for a technically astute, ACA or ACCA qualified, Financial Reporting Accountant for a listed, global, manufacturing business near Warrington.

The role is newly created and works as part of a small team of technical experts with responsibility for preparing the month end transactions. This is an ideal first role for someone looking at a step out of Practice into a supportive global business that can offer industry-leading training and support and rapid career progression. This acquisitive and growing organisation is looking to attract the leading candidates in the North West, as the role can offer fantastic career development and progression. Given the technical bias of the role it would best suit someone from a technical/audit background (ACA/ACCA qualified).

Sitting within a small, close-knit Accounting team, you will be mentored and coached by an experience Head of Finance, who will support your (potential) transition out of Practice into Industry & Commerce. Working alongside colleagues from a similar background, your peers will offer understanding and empathy having made a similar move themselves, offering further support and coaching to smooth the transition.

Responsibilities in the role cover 4 main areas: month end close and, statutory activities, internal controls and business partnering. The Financial Reporting Accountant will support the statement and regulatory reporting processes including the prep of VAT returns, daily reporting of cash and cash balances, journal entities to support SG&A activities, pension accounting and balance sheet recs.

Applicants should be:

  • A qualified accountant - ideally ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Possess UKGAAP and ideally some USGAAP knowledge
  • Preferably trained within Practice
