Resourcery Group are supporting a leading Professional Services business in Merseyside to recruit a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager who will take a lead from a budgeting, forecasting, planning perspective.
This is an opportunity to join a successful, profitable and rapidly growing Professional Services business in a crucial, hands-on role, working closely with the most senior stakeholders across the business from FD to CEO. You will play a key role in the development of the 5 year strategic plan, annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts. Working within an existing framework and model you will bring insight and understanding to the business and help drive enhanced performance as well as challenge where needed. This role requires only the very best commercially-minded applicants who possess a strong Financial Planning & Analysis background, but who are also experienced, hands-on analysts, capable of developing existing complex models and acting in a business partner capacity to senior non-finance revenue generators.
As Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will be responsible to the FD directly and for articulating clearly key assumptions, sensitivities, opportunities. You will own the operational KPIs and help drive delivery of performance plans through the provision of insightful and commercially MI. Understanding actuals to budget and explaining the underlying drivers of variances to plan, as well as providing mitigation strategies to cope with deviations will be key to the role. Competitor insight, scenario analysis, revenue/WIP analysis, cost insight and a variety of ad-hoc projects will fill your working week.
If you are a commercially astute Financial or Commercial Analyst, a talented modeller capable of interpreting and rationalising large volumes of complex data quickly, suggesting the right course of action succinct and with lucidity, or a capable Finance Business Partner or FP&A Manager who enjoys being hands-on with data this role is for you.
Applicants to the role of Financial Planning & Analysis Manager should be ideally:
- a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- have worked in both large complex and small entrepreneurial fast-paced businesses
- be comfortable being accountable to the FD and CEO
- be hands on analytically, a strong modeller and astute business partner
