Resourcery Group are working in partnership with an entrepreneurial manufacturing SME to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to support a hands-on Finance Director.

The business is a sub-£20m turnover specialist manufacturing business run by and experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Leadership Team. Due to the on-going development of the business the opportunity has arisen to appoint a true number 2 to the Finance Director as Finance Manager. Based within a commutable distance from the likes of Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, Widnes, Wigan, Chester the business is ideally situated geographically.

The role is an expansive one and a role that would suit a Financial Controller capable for working in a small team of highly capable individuals with the capacity and confidence to work autonomously. The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Management Team, taking ownership and responsibility for the core manufacturing business activities. You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the finance function from financial control, financial reporting, statutory accounting, year end close, monthly management accounting, budget and forecasting to acting as a true operational business partner driving operational performance improvement.

Applicants to the role of Financial Controller will be:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (ideally), QBEs also considered if possessing strong manufacturing and ERP experience.
  • Possess manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, automotive experience working in a hands-on role,
  • Possess experience working in an autonomous role with strong P&L and BS control experience,
  • Be capable of influencing outside finance in an entrepreneurial environment,
  • Be capable of managing a small team.
