Resourcery Group are supporting a leading Professional Services business based in central Manchester, with a UK-wide footprint, to recruit an experienced Commercial Finance Manager/Finance Business Partner with extensive Pricing, Modelling and Analytical experience.

The role of Commercial Finance Manager - Pricing will play a critical role in delivering profitability improvements through enhancements to the business's pricing strategy, improving the profitability of existing contracts and ensuring new contract wins and bid/tender work protects margins. To drive these improvements, you will be required to possess strong Excel modelling and analytical skills capable of taking a long-term view (3 year rolling contracts) of potential new business. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will be engaging with senior stakeholders (commercial and operational) daily influencing and driving strategy through pricing. The complexity of the business and contracts they work on means that not only are you required to be a capable modeller and analyst but one with a strategic mind and lond-term view capable of influencing decision making at the highest level. Performance centric and cost aware you will play a major role int he delivery of profitable growth as the Commercial Finance Manager - Pricing.

Given the nature of the role there is an aspect of ad-hoc work required and being able to work with ambiguity and in a flexible manner is essential. Part of the role of Commercial Finance Manager - Pricing will involve the review of existing under-performing clients providing insight and understanding in visual and graphical formats to non-finance business leaders elucidating the route-causes of under performance. Trend, performance, client, sector, competitor, profit, root-cause analysis, scenario planing, what-if/hypothetical situation planning all all part of the job. You will also help formalise and standardise pricing policies across the business helping to enhance existing and build new, robust models.

Requirements:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified accountant
  • Proven commercial analyst with strong modelling skills
  • Strong senior stakeholder influencer capable of owning change
  • Excel skills (advanced), BI knowledge useful
  • Knowledge of a service industry helpful especially Financial Services, Legal, Management Consultancy
