Finance Manager | Chester | £60,000 - £70,000
  
An opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and acquisitive business based in Chester, in a highly visible role designed to oversee month end reporting and driving value add analysis across the business.
  
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role is ideally suited to a technically trained (ACA/ACCA) Accountant either wanting to broaden their experience moving away from a pure financial reporting role or perhaps someone looking to gain more staff management responsibilities.
  
Main duties include;
  

• Ownership of monthly board packs, comprising of detailed cash flows and analysis into ongoing business performance.
• Oversee a small team ensuring month end journals, reconciliations and queries are all promptly posted and closed.
• Balance sheet ownership
• Ensure all VAT and other tax related submissions are completed promptly.
• Develop existing financial models to enhance visualisation of real time performance to assist commercial teams
• Work with senior stakeholders to develop pricing models and ensure thorough understanding of implied costs and risks
• Heavily involved in budget setting and main POC for external auditors
• Hands on ownership of year end statutory account production

  
Candidate profile;
  

• Technically trained ACA/ACCA preferred
• Strong financial accounting background
• Any exposure to staff management preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Natural ability to investigate and improve processes and numbers
