Management Accountant

We're working with a well-established and growing business that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team during an exciting period of continued expansion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who enjoys getting involved in the detail while also contributing to process improvements and supporting wider business performance. You'll join a collaborative finance team with plenty of scope to develop your career within a successful, growing organisation.

Reporting into senior finance, you'll play a key role in the production of monthly management accounts and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day accounting activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts and posting journals
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing fixed assets and lease accounting
• Investigating and explaining financial variances
• Supporting month-end close and resolving reconciliation issues
• Preparing cash flow forecasts
• Assisting with budgets and financial forecasting
• Supporting group reporting and external audits
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Providing ad hoc analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team where required

I’m keen to speak to candidates who are:

• Part-qualified or finalist level (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
• Previous experience producing management accounts
• Strong month-end experience including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups
• A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
