  • Supporting rent and service charge accounting processes
  • Assisting with reconciliations, journals and balance sheet reviews
  • Preparing and analysing financial data and reports
  • Supporting budget setting and annual charge reviews
  • Working with large data sets using Excel
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
  • Supporting compliance and audit requirements
  • Liaising with wider operational and finance teams across the business
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

  • Are nearly AAT qualified or qualified
  • Have ideally started ACCA or CIMA studies (early stages)
  • Have strong general accounting knowledge, ideally from a management accounts or wider finance background
  • Are confident using Excel and manipulating data
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Are proactive, curious and willing to ask questions
  • Enjoy learning new skills and working collaboratively within a team
  • Want to build a long-term career within finance

Candidates from outside of housing are very welcome to apply, provided they can demonstrate the desire and ability to learn a new sector and contribute positively within a wider team environment.

What’s on Offer

  • Salary £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working (2–3 days on site in Shropshire)
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Free on-site parking
  • Long-term development and progression opportunities
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture
  • Opportunity to gain sector-specific experience within Housing Finance

Please note that the interview process will consist of:

  1. Initial Teams interview
  2. Face-to-face final stage interview

If you have a strong accounting foundation, enjoy working with data and are looking for a role where you can genuinely develop and progress, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
