Procurement Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working)
Salary: £28,000 pro rata
Contract: Temporary (sickness cover, with potential to extend)
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week | 3 days in office (full-time in office during initial training)
About the Role
We are currently partnering with a prestigious city centre based client to recruit a Procurement Administrator to join their fast-paced and collaborative team on a temporary basis. This role will provide essential support to the Procurement team, ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently during a period of absence.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and keen to gain or build upon experience within procurement. There is potential for the role to develop into a longer-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team
- Manage a shared procurement inbox, responding to routine queries and directing requests appropriately
- Log, track, and coordinate procurement enquiries from internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Support the administration of tenders, supplier contracts, and related documentation
- Assist with supplier onboarding and maintain accurate records
- File and maintain procurement documentation and procedures
- Support compliance with internal purchasing policies and processes
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role (procurement or finance experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high volume of emails and competing priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Experience with procurement or P2P systems is advantageous
