Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Assistant | £28,000-30,000 | Liverpool | Permanent, hybrid

A well established manufacturing business in Liverpool is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. You will be part of a high-quality, process driven environment and play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function and wider finance operations. 

You will:

• Process a high volume of supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner
• Post transactions to general ledger and supplier accounts
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Prepare and process payment runs
• Deal with discrepancies
• Monitor AP inbox and respond to queries professionally
• Process employee expenses and credit card claims
• Support with audit processes
• Get involved with continuous improvement initiatives

For this Accounts Payable Assistant role, we are looking for someone who has:

• Strong accounts payable experience ideally in a high volume processing role
• Full end to end AP knowledge
• ERP systems would be advantageous
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build solid relationships with internal/external stakeholders
