Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant | £30,000-35,000 | Liverpool

We are working with a well-established, international business to recruit an Accounts Assistant into a supportive finance team. This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who enjoys working in a structured, process-driven environment, with a strong attention to detail to support their month end and payroll processes. You will be responsible for:

• Posting bank transactions and completing bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• General ledger postings and month end support
• Supporting with audit
• Ad hoc reporting
• Processing payroll for UK and European entities
• Collating payroll data and uploading information
• Checking payroll reports and supporting with sign-off
• Acting as a point of contact for payroll and pension queries
• Supporting with continuous improvement initiatives

For this role, you must have:

• Experience working in a similar role, with all round accounts and payroll knowledge
• ERP systems experience is advantageous
• Good Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• More suited to AAT studier/qualified candidate, however early stages CIMA/ACCA would also considered
