Finance Business Partner – Developments  |  Liverpool/Remote  |  Interim

Resourcery Group are partnering with a housing association in Liverpool City Centre to bring in a Finance Business Partner to work with the developments team on a temporary basis, to provide cover during a busy period and to support the finance team through year end.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and management accounts for the Development programme, ensuring clear insight into financial performance and risks.
  • Provide trusted finance business partnering to senior stakeholders, offering constructive challenge and commercial insight to support decision-making.
  • Support the organisation’s business planning process, including financial modelling, scenario testing and alignment of development plans with wider corporate objectives.
  • Undertake financial appraisal and testing of new development schemes, ensuring viability, value for money and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce, monitor and report on development cash flow forecasts, working closely with treasury colleagues to support funding, liquidity management and covenant compliance.
  • Ensure accurate accounting, reporting and control of capital expenditure, grants, VAT and taxation relating to development activity.
  • Lead development-related financial reporting, including monthly reporting, year-end accounts preparation and support for external audit.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal governance requirements across all development finance activities

About you


  • Qualified accountant with strong experience in financial and management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Proven finance business partnering experience in a regulated environment, providing insight, challenge, and support to senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in business planning, financial modelling, development appraisals, and testing new schemes to ensure financial viability.
  • Highly organised and technically proficient, with strong Excel and financial systems skills, and experience in reporting, year-end accounts, and audit support.
