Financial Analyst/Commercial Analyst

Finance Business Partner | £40,000-45,000 | Liverpool

We are recruiting for a very interesting and exciting commercial opportunity that is suitable for a part qualified finance person. This is to support the growth of the business where you will be involved in commercial decision-making. It will be a analytical, financial and commercial looking at new opportunities, supporting tender and bid processes, and ensuring solid financial insight is provided. 

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the management accounts process, providing timely delivery and analysing performance
• Ensuring solid financial controls are in place, to allow for accurate reconciliations and assurance processes
• Building financial models to support business decisions and scenario analysis
• Providing financial reporting and forecasting suport to senior management team
• Preparing annual budgets and monthly variance analysis
• Assisting with the preparation of business cases, cost models and pricing strategies
• Providing due diligence on new business onboarding and tender evaluation support
• Adding value through analysis of contract performance, revenue streams and financial data to identify opportunities for growth
• Providing commercial insight and modelling to relevant leaders across the organisation

For this role as Finance Business Partner, you will be:

• Part qualified/finalist CIMA/ACCA
• An intelligent individual with strong common sense, with a good commercial acumen
• A very strong communicator with an analytical flair 
• Able to interpret financial data effectively and use this to be able to help with decision making processes
• An advanced Excel user with financial modelling skills ideally
