Finance Business Partner | Wirral | £60,000 - £70,000
An opportunity to join a growing FMCG business on the Wirral, this role will be expected to drive commercial performance of key business units whilst also provide comprehensive cost analysis/management of internal departments & stakeholders.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will have a broad set of responsibilities and be expected to work autonomously whilst also having the support of senior finance leaders.
Main duties include;
- Act as a trusted financial partner to senior commercial and operational leaders, influencing decision-making through insight and challenge
- Provide forward-looking financial analysis to support pricing, margin optimisation, and revenue growth initiatives
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and rolling reforecast processes for commercial functions, translating strategy into financial plans
- Deliver clear, actionable performance reporting with a focus on drivers, trends, and opportunities rather than variance explanation alone
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate ROI on campaigns, promotions, and customer initiatives
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support investment cases, new product launches, and strategic initiatives
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, proactively recommending actions to improve profitability
- Support contract evaluation, customer profitability analysis, and commercial negotiations
- Drive cost-to-serve analysis and help optimise customer and channel mix
- Improve the quality of data and insights through better use of systems, dashboards, and automation
- Challenge assumptions and embed financial discipline while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships
- Support month-end close by providing commercial insight and narrative to accompany results
- Contribute to long-range planning and strategic reviews, linking financial outcomes to business drivers
- Partner cross-functionally to embed a performance culture and accountability for results
- Act as a change agent, supporting transformation, growth initiatives, and continuous improvement
Candidate profile;
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified preferred but not essential
- Substantial business partnering experience ideally in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced excel skills
