Financial Controller

About the Role
As Group Financial Controller, you will lead and support a dedicated team of transactional finance staff and take ownership of the charity’s core financial operations. Your remit will include:
Overseeing treasury and cash flow management
Leading all financial accounting activities, including the month-end and year-end processes
Managing VAT and statutory returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Providing high-quality financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the charity
Driving continuous improvement and helping shape a finance function that adds real value to the organisation
This role will be integral to the charity’s future, helping strengthen financial governance while enabling informed decisions that push the organisation forward.
About You
We’re looking for a technically adept, forward-thinking Financial Controller who brings:
A proven track record in financial control within a complex organisation
Strong leadership skills and experience managing finance teams
Excellent technical accounting knowledge and confidence in overseeing treasury and statutory reporting
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to influence at a senior level
