An opportunity to join a large and growing business with a global reach. Reporting into the Divisional Finance Manager, you will have varied role which will allow you to gain fantastic experience on route to Qualifying.
Duties include;
- Prepare and issue sales and margin financial data for the month-end process, working to tight deadlines in a pressured environment.
- Conduct variance and commercial analysis on all aspects related to sales and margin for the clients in your remit.
- Take ownership of finance-related action points arising during the monthly reviews of the analysis prepared.
- Reconcile data with the finance and reporting systems, with a keen eye to spot opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Present and support analysis, findings, and proactive investigations with financial and non-financial internal stakeholders, including account managers and directors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure an understanding of financial information, particularly sales, margin, and working capital.
- Build relationships with other departments to encourage communication and ensure the best practice of internal processes.
- Provide support for the annual sales and margin budgets and reforecasts as and when required, working together with the wider finance team and the account managers.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations associated with the work you and your peers undertake.
- Take ownership of the balance sheets under your remit by reviewing and reducing any aged items within your remit and providing support to the wider finance department proactively.
- Assist and collaborate with the audit process by fulfilling the auditors' requests timely and accurately.
- Collaborate with account managers and directors to provide customers with efficient, effective, and professional financial information, including any required ad-hoc reporting for existing and potential customers.
- Assist and drive the development required with IT to constantly improve the finance system and reports used, including the development and integration of our in-house system and processes across sites.
- Utilize existing skills, knowledge, and experience to add value within the Finance department and across the business by suggesting improvements to processes and procedures, and where appropriate, implementing those suggestions.
- Perform the role with a customer-focused outlook, striving to provide the best possible service to them by providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to staff on system and finance queries.
Candidate profile;
- Part Qualified – CIMA/ACCA
- Prior experience in a month end focussed management accounting role
- Hard working attitude with a will to learn and develop
