A well-known brand in Liverpool City Centre is looking for a Part Qualified/Finalist Assistant Accountant to join their team. As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for reporting financial information, checking the integrity of financial reports to ensure accuracy, providing key stakeholders with a clear insight of financial reports along with financial accounting.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, validating, and reporting financial information to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring key stakeholders have a clear and concise insight to financial reports
  • Maintaining high standards of data accuracy
  • Ensuring financial statements meet internal and external reporting requirements
  • Accounting for P&L and balance sheet items
  • Calculating expenses including accruals and prepayments
  • Managing work in progress
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Contributing to a wide variety of financial projects
Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Part Qualified or at the final stages of a professional accounting qualification - CIMA/ACCA
  • Experience of management and financial accounts
  • Good understanding of data and financial reporting
  • Effective communicator and builds effective relationships
  • Ideally have gained experience in a large business
  • Results driven
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
As Assistant Accountant you will work in a broad and varied role that will enhance your career and studies. You will use your personality and character to interpret financial information to non-financial staff and you will business partner key stakeholders across the business. You will also work across a number of European countries ledgers and be exposed to different accounting standards and practices. You will enjoy working in a friendly and collaborative team and be supported by a number of qualified accountants and analysts from which you can also learn.

The salary on offer is between £30,000 to £35,000 per annum and benefits include study support, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, a great pension scheme, and a bonus up to 15% too. The company also have a truly hybrid working model with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week in the office.
