Accounts Payable Clerk

Opportunity for Hybrid working post probation, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company pensions, and a growing, evolving role.
A well-established, stable business based in North Liverpool is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable processes and banking.

Duties will include:

  • Processing supplier invoices for multiple entities
  • Matching supplier invoices to GRN's 
  • Gaining invoice approval prior to payment
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Resolving supplier queries
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Reconciling transactions from multiple bank accounts 
  • Producing supplier reports
Skills & Experience Required:

  • Up to date and relevant experience working in an accounts payable role
  • Demonstrable experience of the end-to-end accounts payable process
  • Good IT skills, with Microsoft Excel and ideally have used ERP software such as SAP/NAV/Oracle/SUN
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Diligent, highly numerate, and accurate
You will receive a competitive salary between £24,000 and £26,000 per annum for this Accounts Payable role. Benefits include: office or hybrid working (with 2 to 3 days working from home if required), 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and company pension. You will work in a varied accounts payable role and will see the process through from start to finish. You will be a key member of the small finance team and report to the Financial Controller who will guide and support you. The role will grow and evolve over time as the business would like to get more management information about their suppliers and costs that you will help to develop and look after. 

The office is COVID safe, with social distancing measures in place, temperature checks upon arrival, sanitisation, and ventilation too. As explained, post probation and once established in the role, there will be an option to work from home for 2 to 3 days of the week. The company is accessible from Liverpool City Centre, Sefton, Aintree, Waterloo, Crosby, Everton, Walton, Kirkby, and the surrounding areas and there is on-site parking too.
