Financial Analyst/Commercial Analyst

A leading global logistics business is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to support them during a period of transition. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for improving cashflow, reducing financial risk and improving stability in reported turnover and profit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring company billing performance relating to accuracy and timelines
  • Monitoring credits in line with company authority process
  • Analysing and reporting variances on prior period numbers 
  • Managing WIP
  • Review margin to sales reports
  • Assessing manual accruals to actualise job costing
Skills & Experience Required:

  • Background in financial analysis or order to cash/purchase to pay
  • Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent in experience
  • Able to interpret complex data sources and present in an understandable format for non-finance peers and colleagues
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills, ERP software, PowerBI and other financial/analytical tools
  • Experience in the logistics industry will be a distinct advantage
  • Independent self-starter and self-disciplined
  • Deadline driven and able to prioritise
This is a niche and varied analytical role for an up and coming Part Qualified Accountant. As Financial Analyst you will add significant value to the finance and operational functions to ensure costs are reported accurately, you will have an impact on cashflow and help mitigate financial risk. You will work in a very structured format and be challenged to meet strict deadlines.
