Payroll Clerk

Resourcery Group are supporting a leading multi-site manufacturing business with over 1,500 employees to recruit a Payroll Clerk to based at their site near to Chester. Our client is circa £150m and despite the currently socio and geo-political uncertainty is continuing to thrive.

The Payrol Clerk will oversee payroll for in the region of 800 FTE with the role both interesting an varied. This is a growing Manufacturing and Production business with operations nationwide. Sitting within the Chester team the Payroll Clerk will have responsibility for the calculations of a variable payroll and processing of manual calculations. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for:

• Accurate and timely processing of variable payroll slips
• Accurately performing manual changes including; SSP, SMP and HMRC
• Processing of all starters and leavers to the business
• Supporting ongoing process and system changes
• Analysis of payroll data producing reports to the senior team
• Preparing annual documentation including P11D and P60s
• Investigating and processing of all payroll queries
• Responsible for payroll reconciliations

The successful applicant will:

• Possess proven Payroll experience
• Be a competent and confident Excel user able to analyse data and produce detailed reports
• Possess robust systems knowledge
• Be confident in liaising with both senior stakeholders and more junior employees
• Knowledge of UK legal regulations and taxes would be advantageous
• Have previous experience within a manufacturing site
