Resourcery Group are working in partnership with an internationally recognised manufacturer who, due to continued positive sales growth, are looking to recruit a commercially astute FP&A Manager. The FP&A Manager plays a business-critical role in a successful and well-respected finance team taking a lead role in providing the European FD with business critical management information and insight, consolidated performance/profitability reviews and support on future acquisition, post-acquisition integration and pan-European tenders. Working directly for the FD and interacting with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders across the business in the UK and Europe the FP&A Manager must be a consummate professional with strong and demonstratable communication skills. Given the seniority of stakeholder and focus of work, high levels of emotional intelligence and EQ, gravitas and self-awareness will be valued highly. Being able to build relationships internally within the operational and commercial business areas to challenge current working practices and highlight efficiencies and drive positive growth and impact for your area of the group are essential.

The FP&A Manager is responsible for delivering consolidated management reporting and analysis each month to the Board and will drive a standardisation of reporting practices across the UK and Europe. Based in central Lancashire, within a commutable distance from Preston, Blackburn, Warrington and North Manchester, you will be given the chance to work in Europe 1 or 2 days a month, building on the ground relationships with key pan-European stakeholders. Key responsibilities:

  • Liaise directly with other Board members, including Group Finance Lead for Europe
  • Manage the monthly consolidation and reporting for Europe to the Board and Group
  • Deliver standardisation of management accounting, costing and commercial accounting processes
  • Ownership of product costing and profitability reporting across Europe
  • Management of ~€8-€10m annual capex spend
  • Coordinate the input to pan-European tenders
  • Provide ad-hoc support, as required, on new M&A activities and other projects
  • Manage the European forecast and budgeting processes

Qualifications & Relevant Experience

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Experience of working in an international business in a multi-country role
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment with standard costing principle
  • Advanced Excel skills and working experience of SAP (preferably)
  • Experience of working with BI / BW tools
  • Experience of delivering tenders
