The Role

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will lead and develop robust and effective commercial finance processes including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly commercial finance reviews, monthly sales weekly sales updates.

You will also act as a key point of control between Group Finance and the UK Commercial team, ensuring accurate financial submissions to Group of ambitious and challenging UK sales figures. You will sit as support to the Commercial Decision Team dealing with key retail accounts. As such, you must be comfortable managing and delivering challenging messages to often competing stakeholders and ensuring Group's vision and strategy are implemented and adhered to.

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be part of a commercial finance team responsible for maximising commercial gross profit, sales volumes, product mix and price. You will be responsible for sales margins and commercial overhead budgets and forecasts and be able to understand, explain and offer solutions to variances. You role is to help educate the Commercial Decision Team and ensure they possess a robust understanding of their account numbers.

You will be a key decision maker yourself and sit on the Finance Leadership Team influencing commercial and supply chain teams. You have a voice and it will be heard. My client is looking to recruit candidates who can make a difference, not manage the status quo.

The Person

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with previous experience of working in a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role
  • Listed company experience and the financial control, processes and expectations that comes with such an environment
  • Experience of working in the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors
  • Commercial finance experience is essential
  • Experience of using SAP advantageous
  • Be capable of working in Manchester
