Finance Manager

Accounts Manager | £35,000-40,000 | Liverpool

This is a hands-on, end-to-end finance role where you’ll be the go-to person for all things accounts. Responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts
• Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Managing the relationship with an outsourced payroll provider
• Overseeing day-to-day transactional processes including:


• Accounts Payable
• Credit Control / Accounts Receivable


• Reviewing and improving finance systems and processes to make things more efficient and insightful
• There’s genuine scope here to make your mark, particularly around process improvement, reporting, and use of dashboards.

You’ll be someone who’s comfortable working independently and enjoys having ownership. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Solid all-round accounts experience (SME background ideal)
• Strong working knowledge of Sage
• Experience improving processes, or a natural curiosity to make things better
• Good communication skills – able to work confidently with non-finance colleagues
• A well-organised, proactive approach with good attention to detail
• Experience with dashboards or system upgrades would be a bonus, but attitude and capability matter more than ticking every box.
