Assistant Accountant

Assistant Financial Accountant | Liverpool | £30,000-35,000

A fantastic business which is performing extremely well is hiring for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their growing team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting with month end tasks for accounts payable and receivable close and reconciliation
• Posting journals to GL
• Performing accruals
• Carrying out reconciliations and ledger transactions in relation to fixed asset, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations and accrued and deferred income
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining control accounts
• VAT and CIS returns
• Collaboration and communication with key stakeholders across the group
• Assistance with some key projects 

To be considered for this Assistant Financial Accountant role, you must have:

• Part qualification (ideally) in AAT/CIMA/ACCA
• Experience in reconciliation, ideally some complex
• Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced, high volume environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills and able to build solid relationships
• Ambition to learn and continually develop
