Financial Analyst/Commercial Analyst

A leading not-for-profit organisation operating leisure facilities across the UK is seeking a Finance and Business Analyst to support the financial evaluation of capital projects and commercial development initiatives. The role sits within a wider, successful not-for-profit group and plays a key part in ensuring investment decisions align with long-term strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead rigorous financial appraisal of business cases,

• 
  

  Partner with Business Development and Commercial teams to assess new ventures and strategic partnerships

• 
  

  Track post-investment performance and support the development of corrective action plans

• 
  

  Strengthen governance processes and ensure compliance with delegated authority frameworks

• 
  

  Improve financial models and automate investment reporting to enhance decision-making

This is a pivotal role that helps optimise capital allocation and ensures resources are deployed to maximise organisational value.

Applicants need to have the following:

• Demonstrated experience in investment appraisal, financial modelling, and evaluating business cases
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess strategic alignment and financial viability
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly present complex analysis
• A collaborative approach, with proven ability to work effectively across finance, commercial, and operational teams
• Advanced Excel skills
