Financial Controller

Resourcery Group have the privilege of recruiting for a wide range of businesses and organisations across the UK.  We work in partnership with some of the leading businesses in the most forward-looking, growth sectors.  One of these businesses, based in Merseyside, is looking to recruit an experienced, 'game ready', Financial Controller or Head of Finance to oversee the core Finance team during a period of growth, transofrmation and change.

Reporting to and working closely with the CFO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for managing a capable Finance team covering all management reporting, financial accounting, and transactional finance.  The Head of Finance will have the opportunity to shape the Finance function, supporting senior leadership driving and delivering enhanced commercial decision making through the provision of more timely and accurate management reporting and MI.  The role will also oversee key strategic finance transformation initiatives and work on a daily basis with the C-suite.

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
• Possess robust, hands-on technical accounting skills
• Be an experienced Head of Finance/Financial Controller capable of managing, building and developing a top tier finance function
• Be capable of influencing cross-functional amongst the C-suite
• Be able to train, mentor and coach the Finance team
• Help bring Finance 'into the business'
• Working experience in a similar sized turnover business (£120-200m) undergoing significant growth
