Finance Manager

Finance Manager | Part Qualified | £35,000-40,000 | Liverpool

A successful, independent business in Liverpool is recruiting for a part qualified Finance Manager to join their growing team. They have a strong local reputation, and a very exciting and a growingly recognised brand. They are now preparing to scale their business even further, and are now looking for a Finance Manager to support them on their very exciting journey.

As Finance Manager, you will support the directorship through the delivery of accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial reports, as well as maintaining and developing strong financial controls across the business.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and weekly forecasts
• Reporting on margin, sales, labour and cash
• Analysing variances against budget/forecast and include commentaries to make recommendations
• Assisting in the budget preparation and weekly rolling forecast
• Identify areas to improve margin and analysing costs
• Bank reconciliations
• General ledger reconciliations, posting journals
• VAT, PAYE and other HMRC submissions
• Liaising with external auditors
• Developing and improving reporting procedures through use of dashboards and analysis of KPIs
• Stock control and reporting

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience in a management accounts type, ideally in a smaller business where you’ve had a decent amount of exposure
• Part qualified ACCA/CIMA, QBE will also be considered
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well organised, can work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong communication skills
• Likes working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Great work ethic with a desire to improve the business and develop with them as they continue growing
