Accounts Payable Clerk
Temporary to Permanent Accounts Payable Assistant (Hybrid Working) – £25,000
A well-established business based in Liverpool is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a proactive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume purchase ledger environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing a high volume of invoices and credit notes for selected suppliers
Raising payments via Sage and through online banking platforms
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier accounts in Sage
Allocating payments and credits promptly and accurately to prevent outstanding transactions
Updating internal payment sheets with correct amounts and supplier names in a timely manner
Escalating invoice queries to the operations team when necessary
Flagging any potential issues or concerns to the team leader quickly to enable swift resolution
Participating in weekly ledger balancing and downloads on a rota basis
Monitoring and managing the accounts inbox as part of a shared rota
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role (preferred)
Familiarity with Sage (desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
